2024 edition: A huge success!

Yukon Fat Tire Fever was a lot of fun!

We hope you’ve all (mostly) recovered from Yukon Fat Tire Fever and are now looking back on the day with fond memories and aspirations for doing it again next year.

Thank you for participating and making this first edition of a reborn Yukon mountain bike classic successful.

We had 32 people ride, over 40% female, and the weather and trails were fantastic.

All of your energy, enthusiasm and passion for having a good time made the months of planning and organizing prior to the event incredibly worthwhile. We were so proud at the start, during and after the event, and feel very thankful for our mountain biking community for your show of support.

High fives and hugs to our volunteers

Yukon Fat Tire Fever couldn't have happened without its volunteers, full-stop.

Thanks to everyone who helped with course design, course flagging and de-flagging, timing system set-up and take-down, running the aid stations, grabbing food, drinks and other supplies, and cleaning up afterwards.

We really appreciate Colin McCann, Eva Holland, Aaron Foos, Heather Leduc, Jean-Paul Molgat, Tanys Latham and Sharla Harries!

Thank you to our sponsors

We were blessed to have some very generous sponsors - Icycle Sports, Cadence Cycle and Cycling Association of Yukon - who believed in the vision for this event, and helped us make Yukon Fat Tire Fever happen.

Together they donated money, e-bikes, prizes, food, drinks, tables, banners and helped with promotion. They also offered up positive and encouraging vibes, which was very much appreciated.

Donation to CMBC for trail maintenance and development

After all of the event expenses were paid, your participation saw us donate $2 per person to Contagious Mountain Bike Club to help with their vital trail maintenance and development activities.

We were hoping it would be more, and next year it will be when the field is even bigger! Invite all of your friends in 2025!

Here is a photo gallery from this year's event. If you made the right choice, cancelled your other weekend plans and showed up to participate, enjoy the memories 😀

If, on the other hand you didn't make it, use these photos to motivate yourself to grab a pen and circle next year's event on the ol' calendar (you'll have to guess on the date, but still...).

Based on feedback from participants and volunteers, we already know how we're going to make the 2025 edition even better!

A massive thank-you to everyone who rode, cheered, supported and showed up to ensure the 2024 Yukon Fat Tire Fever was a big success!
